Update #2: We reached out to Aspyr Media and in return they told us that the rating is authentic for Call of Duty: Black Ops III on macOS, confirming the games existence on the platform. They however did not give us any further details about this. We’ll keep you updated in the future if anything else is said to us.

Update: ESRB removed the Tweet but I was still able to find the link to the posting.

Aspyr Media is a company known for porting titles to macOS and they are back again with Call of Duty: Black Ops III! Back in the day, they ported games like Call of Duty: Black Ops and both Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3. They also ported modern games to macOS like Mafia III and Civilization VI!

Call of Duty: Black Ops III was released in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’ll seemingly make it’s way to macOS later this year. While it is better than never, I hope Activision Blizzard sees the potential in macOS and releases even more titles on this platform in the future.

We’re sure it’ll make its way to the App Store, but as for Steam and the Blizzard launcher, we’re unsure of. This won’t be apart of Apple Arcade since this titles need to work across iOS, tvOS, and macOS.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was the last macOS Call of Duty title until now.
