Sony Interactive Entertainment is apparently making a PS4 Super Slim that’ll have many new features including a 7nm chip for better power consumption and less heat, as well as the ability be put in a smaller space. This rumor comes just around a week after Sony detailed various thing about the PlayStation 5, including Backwards Compatiblity.

Sony isn’t a stranger to a secondary smaller unit, as PS3 had a Super Slim unit. It’ll cost around $199.99 USD and launch in September-Novemeber 2019.

PS4 still has a lot of life in it, especially after Colin Moriarty said we will have another PS4 exclusive that is unannounced from a 2nd party studio, which Sony was just hiring for people to work at Insomniac Games.

We will have to wait and see, maybe at the next State of Play they’ll announce this hardware.
