A sequel to 2018’s Detective Pikachu game was just announced for the Nintendo Switch at the Pokémon Press Conference held on May 28th, 2019.
The 2018 game told the story about a young man named Tim Goodman, who partnered with a talking Pikachu to look for his father, but left the story on a cliffhanger.
A movie based on the game was released on May 3, 2019 and it received widespread acclaim, so a sequel to the game it’s based on comes as no surprise.
The story will reach its conclusion on the Nintendo Switch. No other news have been announced at this time.
