Google held their very first “Stadia Connect” today. This event was a pre recorded event, similar to the Nintendo Direct or the PlayStation State of Play. This event revealed the pricing model, launch info, connection requirement details, and most importantly, games for the streaming service.

Google provided a chart to show where your WiFi needs to be to enjoy games on Stadia. At 35 Mbps you can enjoy a full native 4K experience at 60fps with your Stadia Pro subscription. 10 Mbps is the recommended minimum, where you can still enjoy experiences at 720p 60fps.

The pricing of the Stadia Pro is $9.99 a month. Stadia Pro will launch November 14th, 2019. Stadia Pro allows you to stream 4K 60fps content if your WiFi allows it. Stadia Pro also benefits from 5.1 surround sound. Much like something like PlayStation Plus, Stadia Pro will regularly give you games for being a subscriber, a long with discounts to games on the Stadia Store. Stadia Base is the free version of Google Stadia. On Stadia Base you can stream your bought games at 1080p 60fps for free.

The Stadia Founder’s Edition is an exclusive offer for early players according to Google. The controller in the Founder’s Edition will be exclusive to the Edition. The Founder’s Edition comes with a the Stadia Controller, a Chromecast, Destiny 2 with all of its DLC, a 3 month subscription to Stadia Pro, and another 3 month Stadia Pro subscription to share with a friend.

The only exclusive announced so far for Stadia is Gylt. This game is being developed by Tequila Studios and will be a launch title. 3rd party wise, there’s a handful. Destiny 2, Doom, Darksiders Genesis, NBA 2K, Baldur’s Gate 3, Tomb Raider Trilogy, and Mortal Kombat 11 are just a few. All of the games above will be available at launch according to Google.
