Ever since the Modern Warfare reveal a couple weeks ago Cross-Play has been the biggest question mark when it comes to this new game. It was confirmed during a reveal interview but no real details had been given, which of course has lead to rampant speculation among Call of Duty fans.

However, we’ve finally heard some official information from Infinity Ward developers! Infinty Ward developer Taylor Kurosaki has spoken out about Cross-Play in Modern Warfare. He had this to say on Twitter:

This seems pretty cut and dry if you ask me, but if you need more there are other tweets by him that reference Cross-Play from yesterday:

Honestly, there’s no other way to interpret this other than full Cross-Play.

We still don’t know exactly how it will work (hopefully similar to how Fortnite’s Cross-Play matchmaking works) but one thing is for certain: Cross-Play between Xbox and PlayStation is confirmed. I know people were worried, but I think we can all take a collective sigh of relief now. Hopefully we get even more details soon, but until then at least we can rest easy knowing that real Cross-Play is happening this year.
