Bungie’s general manager Mark Noseworthy has said that Destiny 2 doesn’t have Cross-Play with PC on Google Stadia since the studio wants to focus on Cross-Save instead, but there are “no policy or technological barrier” stopping both Windows and Stadia from working together.

Cross-Save will allow you to take your progress across PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. This includes missions, gear, and everything else you do in the game.

Concerns over Cross-Play happened thanks to an FAQ on Bungie’s site where it states under Stadia: “Stadia is its own ecosystem, just like current existing platforms. Stadia players will only be able to play with other Stadia players.”

Destiny 2 launched on September 6th, 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One. The ex-Microsoft owned studio has been working insanely hard on the game since their split with Activision Blizzard over publishing rights. Destiny 2: New Light, a free to play version of the game, lands this fall across all platforms and moves from Battle.net to Steam on Windows.
