Other than the LEGO DLC announcement at E3 for Forza Horizon 4, Playground Games we’re pretty much absent during the conference, but according to a LinkedIn announcement, they’ve been busy hiring some new talent.

Neil Davies, who was a senior lighting artist for Rockstar North while Red Dead Redemption 2 was wrapping up development, has been added to the roster.

Game designer Michael Leone, is another name that will join Playground. He was with Rockstar just after the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. It appears he’ll be taking the role of Principal Technical Designer over at Playground Games.

Lastly, Tom Maddocks joins the team as an Audio Designer. Tom has worked with Ubisoft Massive and freelanced for PlayStation for audio work on PlayStation VR Worlds. He also worked on the long cancelled game Fable Legends as an Audio Intern, but later on designer.

All of these new hires to me seem to point to Playground ramping up production on a long awaited new Fable game. Seeing the lack of “new IP” being spread around these hirings, we can assume it’s for a new Fable, and we hope so as well.
