Shortly after Black Ops 4 launched on October 12th, the Blackout mode was given an update that added split-screen multiplayer. Now this weeks support for split-screen seems to have disappeared.

Players noticed earlier this week and took to Reddit to ask what happened. A Treyarch representative checked with the development team and said,

“Thank you all for the tags! I’ve reached out to the team and was informed that we have temporarily disabled splitscreen as we evaluate some known issues. We’ll share updates in the future after investigating further.

– Jack Torres, communications at Treyarch

There is still no update on if split-screen will return to Blackout. Split-screen is still supported in standard multiplayer and Zombies mode so you can still play local multiplayer if you want to.
