Sources confirm to Jack of All Controllers that Sony Interactive Entertainment is looking deeply into acquiring Remedy Games. We are not saying anything is concrete, as talks can always go south and the acquisition doesn’t happen.

Below are some reason I personally believe this is going to happen:

About a month ago, Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios took a visit to Remedy Games. Also, Jim Ryan, the President of the entire PlayStation division said not only once, but twice that they intend on acquiring new studios to grow the PlayStation division. The communications director at Remedy also visited Naughty Dog a few weeks back, a Sony studio.

As we all know, PlayStation has marketing for Control, Remedy’s next title, so the 2 companies are close in a sense, so an acquisition can happen. Recently the Finnish studio had announced that they acquired the rights of Alan Wake back from Microsoft, so a PS4 release seems more than likely.
