The social media giant FaceBook is reportedly planning on acquiring developers for their Oculus business to compete with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s next generation PlayStation VR. Currently, both companies are fiercely fighting as is to secure exclusives, with FaceBook working with the likes of Insomniac Games and Sanzaru Games while Sony is working with new talent like First Contact Entertainment and Impulse Gear.

The Oculus division is also said to be working with Ubisoft on exclusive titles like Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell, which is a massive shocker given Sony Interactive Entertainment had 2 exclusive titles in the Assassin’s Creed series subtitled Bloodlines and Liberations.

It’s definitely going to be an interesting few years, with Oculus Quest blowing up the world of VR as the first “true VR” headset, they certainly have a lot to prove.
