Yo-kai Watch will leap from the 3DS to the Nintendo Switch alongside Ni No Kuni:Wrath Of The White Witch on September 20th.
It seems that even though Yo-kai Watch 4 just recently released on June 20th in Japan with a western release confirmed by developer Level 5 at Anime Expo 2019 people will soon be able to experience the original game all over again or for the very first time. The very first Yo-kai Watch game will be releasing soon on the Nintendo Switch. As stated by Level 5’s virtual YouTuber Reto-Chan, both Ni No Kuni:Wrath Of The White Witch and Yo-kai Watch will release alongside the launch of the Nintendo Switch Lite. As stated by Siliconera
“The video starts off with a spiel about the Nintendo Switch Lite, which was announced this week. Later, she offhandedly announces the port when she mentions that Ni no Kuni and Yo-kai Watch 1 will be playable on the Nintendo Switch Lite upon the console’s date of release, September 20, 2019.”
For now there is no definitive release date for western audiences but since the Switch is region-free all that is needed to buy the game is a Japanese account with an acceptable form of payment.
Yo-kai Watch will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on September 20th with Yo-kai Watch 4 available now in Japan with a western release to come at a later date.
