Nintendo Of America responds to the controversy regarding Byleth’s male voice actor Chris Niosi or better known online as Kirbopher.
Fire Emblem:Three Houses recently released to a host of incredible reception but right before the games launch some news broke about male Byleth’s voice actor. Chris Niosi or better known on YouTube as Kirbopher was chosen to be the VA for male Byleth in Fire Emblem:Three House but before the release of the game Niosi published a long Tumblr post and Twitter thread detailing how he mistreated and abused friends. After these issues came to light Nintendo was quick to remove his credit from Fire Emblem Heroes.Nintendo then announced that Zach Aguilar would be replacing Niosi in Heroes, later USGamer reached out to Nintendo Of America wondering if Niosi would be replaced in Three Houses this was their response.
“After assessing the situation, we decided to re-record the character’s voiceovers in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Heroes with another actor. The new voiceovers will be included in a future patch,”
Fire Emblem:Three Houses released on July 26th exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
