Today Psyonix announced on their website that they will be removing randomized loot crates from Rocket League. This news comes a few months after Epic Games bought Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League. Who probably had a big input on the decision.
The loot crates will be replaced by a system where the player will know exactly what they are buying prior to making the purchase. Psyonix also confirmed that Rocket Pass Premium, DLC Cars and Esports shop items will continue to be available for purchase.
That’s all Psyonix had to say on the matter for now. We will probably know more about the announced changes closer to their implementation.
