Falcom President Toshiro Kondo has stated the reason that Switch ports haven’t happened yet is because of their lack of experience with the hardware. With them taking priority with their PlayStation fanbase. Although that doesn’t seem to be an issue with Nippon Ichi Software handling Ys VIII for the Nintendo Switch.

Nothing is set in stone at the minute but Kondo has some positive words to say to Dualshockers about future Switch ports:

“We have talks in progress with multiple publishers regarding possible Switch games, but I can’t tell you anything precise yet or if it will happen or not.”

I’m sure as the talks in question advance we’ll have more information to share with possible Falcom titles coming to Nintendo Switch. However, that’s all Kondo had to say on the matter. Encouraging words for Falcom fans.
