Sean Murray of Hello Games has played No Man’s Sky on Oculus Quest, yes, you absolutely heard that right, the Oculus Quest! This is an absolutely exciting news, but it won’t be coming anytime soon. Speaking with Upload VR, the head honcho of the vast open world game said “I’ve been playing it a lot, actually, and it’s lovely” when referring to the game on the Oculus Quest.
There is a future there, right, for that kind of device, right? People tend to think of, when you release a game, and it’s the thing I always want to hammer home to people, when you release a game that ‘that’s it’. This might be version 2.0 for the game, but it’s version 1.0 for VR. There’s a lot that I expect people will want, and we’re going to see a lot of new players playing a lot of different ways.Sean Murray of Hello Games
So that is great, there will be more updates coming to No Man’s Sky VR as he mentions this is only 1.0! He believes new hardware isn’t out of the question either.
It’s really hard to predict but we’ll follow that. Whether it’s people wanting much more controller options, much more headset options or whatever. We’ll see. Because it’s very much a hobbyist space, especially on PC. There are so many things that are potential ways for us to go.Sean Murray of Hello Games
No Man’s Sky is available now on PS4, PS VR, Xbox One, PC, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Valve Index.
