Star Wars Battlefront II had a rough start to say the least, with the Reddit post that was the most downvoted of all-time. It’s fair to say people weren’t best pleased with EA’s approach to the micro-transactions in the game. The micro-transactions were taken out of the game whilst Dice re-balanced the gameplay and eventually they were put back in. It looked rough and the game’s future was hanging in the balance. That was back in 2017, it’s a refreshing sight to see that EA and Dice are still supporting this game in 2019 all the way up to the this year’s Star Wars film, The Rise of Skywalker.

There is a roadmap which lists all the content coming to Star Wars Battlefront II in 2019 including Instant Action. This is a straight forward single player game mode which is reminiscent of Battlefront of old by having players capture the command posts, which has full bot support and includes the playable maps, Naboo, Kamino, Kashyyyk, Geonosis and Felucia. Another new game mode is Co-Op, it is a PvE mode with squads of upto 4 players. There is going to be a new skin added to the game which is the Clone Commando and a new map (which I mentioned earlier) called Felucia. This is based on the planet of the same name from Revenge of the Sith.

And that’s not all. As we get closer to the Star Wars film release later this year, EA and Dice plan to have a season based on Rise of the Skywalker. No information has been confirmed yet but as it becomes available we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
