The President of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has spoken with PlayStation Asia, there he said he wants a long term vision for Dreams.
We have a 10 year vision for Dreams to keep growing with the community.
Dreams, the next title after Tearaway from arguably Sony’s most creative studio, is a world building game where you can essentially create anything you’d want. If you’re not that creative however, you can play mini games or full on titles that others have made for you. Media Molecule also has made their own content for the game, which they plan on doing more as well.
While Dreams launches on PS4 and PS VR this year, this could mean a PS5 and PS VR 2 versions could eventually come down the road. The console is fully backwards compatible with both PS4 and PS VR so we might never see a 9th generation version but it is extremely likely.
Dreams releases later this year on PS4 and PS VR, you can purchase it for $29.99 in Early Access form.
