Sony Interactive Entertainment has patented a new PlayStation VR that features 3 cameras for the upcoming next generation headset. While this is ultimately good news, there is also some bad news if true: it only has 3 cameras. That isn’t roughly enough for truly wireless, room scale-able VR.

However, it’s nice to see a change up and not another wired VR unit. A second generation PlayStation Move is also pictured and sadly, it doesn’t seem to have a thumbstick so it really isn’t something super exciting. Developers have been craving a Move with an L3 and R2 for a while, and previous patents have shown it before so we’ll probably never know.
