FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki was at Brazil Games Show 2019 and during an interview he says that his favorite game to make was BloodBorne.

Miyazaki-san is the director or a plethora of games including last year’s Déraciné, this year’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the upcoming Elden Ring, the original Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls. So for BloodBorne to be his favorite after so many amazing games really shows his love for the 2015 PS4 exclusive.

While a sequel is possible, he can’t just make it whenever he wants unfortunately. He needed permission from Sony Interactive Entertainment, the IP owner, for a new entry. It’s clear as day that the SoulsBorne series is a massive part of the companies history, hell, it started out as a Sony IP with Demon’s Souls but since Sony didn’t greenlight a sequel they had to move to a new IP, Dark Souls. So it would be a shame for a sequel to never happen due to it not being greenlist by their publisher.

BloodBorne is out now exclusively on PS4.
