Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Media Molecule studio would like to bring Dreams to PC.
When the studio Co-Founder Kareem Ettouney was asked if the game could come to PC in the future, the response was quite surprising. They feel the company needs to reach a large console audience before expanding “But it’s definitely in our dreams to do Pro versions that are expanded. It just depends on a lot of things working out for us.”
Shortly after: “The answer to every question is ‘yes’, but Dreams needs to reach a lot of people first. Our goal for Dreams is to last for 20 years, and keep expanding it and keep adding to it and keep improving it.” So they absolutely plan on Dreams being a huge title, with even the ability to export their Dreams and sell them, even on other platforms. Another really interesting thing to note is the timeframe of 20 years. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s President of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida previously said Dreams had a 10 year plan, so the ambition has absolutely increased in scale.
With PC having mouse and keyboard support it will be much easier to make creations, alongside better access to higher end VR units like HTC Vive Cosmos and Valve Index.
Dreams is available now in Early Access on PS4. It will release on PS4 and PS VR fully by the end of 2019.
