UPDATE: Since I was writing this article, you can get Terry Bogard in the game right now!
The forever growing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster has a new addition today in the form of Terry Bogard, of Fatal Fury fame. He comes with a stage called “The King of Fighters” Stadium.
Series Director, Masahiro Sakarai gave an in depth look at the new fighter and how he pays homage to Fatal Fury, King of Fighters and of course, SNK themselves.
Also announced during the livestream was 50 (that’s right, 50) new songs from SNK franchises and the introduction of version 6.0.0 and of course, new Mii Fighter outfits. The songs come from series from Fatal Fury and Samurai Shodown all the way to Metal Slug. The Mii Fighter outfits include: Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown Ryo Sakazaki from Art of Fighting, Iori Yagami from The King of Fighters, Jacky and Akira from Virtua Fighter. All these are available today for $0.75 each. Version 6.0.0 doesn’t seemed to have added anything except a balance patch, so no new modes unfortunately.
If you missed the presentation on the release of Terry Bogard, you can watch it below. The stream starts at about 29:24.
