Insomniac Games’ Stormland is days away, and the company says that they’ve put everything into this game and from what they learned from previous titles to make this special.

Duncan Moore, the Lead & Principal Designer on Stormland was interviewed by Road to VR where he talked about how the past titles he’s been in all added up to make this so great.

We are trying to push everything we know about VR into Stormland. It’s a culmination of lessons from our years of experience as VR developers and players. Stormland wouldn’t exist if we hadn’t made Edge of Nowhere, Feral Rites, and The Unspoken, and without learning from the amazing content the VR community has been creating over the years. I see it as a rich evolution of many different experiments in VR.

It’s unclear if Insomniac Games will continue to pursue VR given Sony Interactive Entertainment has acquired the studio, and while they have a VR headset themselves, Sony might refocus that team to make “normal” games. Hopefully in the future we get a clearer answer.

Stormland launches on November 14th, 2019 exclusively on Oculus Rift.
