Tencent has announced that they have acquired a 9.96% stake into Sumo Group, the parent company to Sumo Digital.

The publishing giant released Team Sonic Racing earlier this year, with Project Nova coming in the future from the studio. Sumo Digital was dropped from Dead Island 2’s development in August, meaning that the upcoming known slate of projects from Sumo isn’t very known.
