Earlier this year, Psyonix revealed that loot crates will be removed from Rocket League with a Blueprint/Item Shop system being added in its stead. Today, they revealed how the new systems will work which will be in the December update.

An illustration of how the new item shop will look.

Above is what the potential Item Shop will look like, similar to how the revolving door of an Item Shop that is in Fortnite and more recently Gears 5. The item shop will feature a plethora of in-game items such as painted cars, player banners and exotic wheels etc. Featured items will be on a 48-hour timer, whilst the daily items on a 24-hour timer. Of course, with every item shop like this there will be an in-game currency in the game called Credits and they will be the following prices (in Dollars):

  • 500 Credits – $4.99
  • 1100 Credits – $9.99
  • 3000 Credits – $24.99
  • 6500 Credits – $49.99

Don’t worry, you’ll keep all of your existing purchases and if you have Keys in your possession during the update they will be converted into Credits (100 Credits per Key).

Do you feel like this is the right way to go for Rocket League? Or did you like the loot crate/showroom system they currently have? Let us know!
