Koch Media’s CEO recently spoke to GamesIndustry.biz about the future of the Saints Row series. In the interview, it was confirmed that a new title in the franchise will be revealed next year. This could be because it’s a cross-generation title, but yet again, publishers like Ubisoft have publicly said they’re working on PS5 and Xbox Scarlett games.

Saints Row very close to our hearts, and we’ll talk about it next year. For the time being, we just wanted to get the word out that it’s coming and it’s going to be great.

Furthermore, Kundratitz commented on the layoffs that hit Volition and said that it essentially won’t affect anyone on the Saints Row team, meaning the Agents of Mayhem team was effected.

With Volition, we have the creators of all the Saints Row games as an internal studio and they’re not going to be distracted by anything else from creating our next game under this important franchise.

Koch Media was bought out by THQ Nordic in February 2018, and boy, does THQ Nordic absolutely love continuing or bringing back IPs that people love, so it’s realistically not a shock this game is on the way.
