On Black Friday, over 1.3 million physical games were sold which is actually down 22% year over year but still great nonetheless.
- PS4 – just shy of 500K units (exact numbers are TBA)
- Xbox One – 413,112 units sold
- Nintendo Switch – 361,967 units
Hardware sales aren’t specified either, so we’re going to have to wait on that end, but in terms of individual game sales, we have a list of the top 10;
- FIFA 20
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
- Sea of Thieves
- Minecraft: Xbox One Edition
- Pokémon Sword
- Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
- Pokémon Shield
- Luigi’s Mansion 3
- Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition
Overall impressive numbers. Even games that fell in numbers in the charts like Death Stranding (from 13 to 33) and Grand Theft Auto V (from 19 to 30) both saw week over week gains.
PlayStation VR’s bundle sold incredibly well as the packed in games all enter the top 40; PlayStation VR Worlds (14), Astro Bot Rescue Mission (18), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (20), Resident Evil VII: Biohazard (23), and Everybody’s Golf VR (25) all are up substantially thanks to the aggressive pricing of the holiday bundle Sony offered.
