In a strange turn of events it seems that Fortnite will be used to promote the upcoming Star Wars movie which is set to premiere later this month. The official Fortnite twitter page has announced that on December 14th around 2:00PM EST they will be premiere an exclusive clip from the upcoming Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, the location set for this special occasion is Risky Reels which just a few days ago began clearing out the cars from the area and led to lots of speculation from the community as to what will be held there.

It is assumed that during this timeframe weapons will be disabled from the game so players can fully enjoy this intergalactic experience. This isn’t the first crossover that Fortnite has had with the Star Wars brand due to having a Stormtrooper skin available in the item shop for purchase just a few weeks ago. Recently Geoff Keighley host of the upcoming Game Awards took to Twitter to tease that something bigger is coming than just a clip from Rise of Skywalker and while he doesn’t exactly tell us what it could be many seem to believe that skins and maybe a location from the Star Wars universe will be added to the popular battle royale game.
Fortnite is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC with mobile versions available on both iOS and Android
