After dataminers found new Left 4 Dead code in Source 2 and Steam VR, Valve News Network’s Tyler McVicker has confirmed that a brand new Left 4 Dead title is in development. Just like Half-Life: Alyx, this’ll be a VR title. Development across Valve seems to be played on VR, as Campo Santo’s game is now on hold and the Team Fortress 2 developers have also moved onto Alyx.
Now a lot of people will piss and moan about another VR game, but Half-Life: Alyx has become such an enormous deal that it literally made Valve Index units sell out. A massive IP like Left 4 Dead that hasn’t had a new entry in years can easily boost those sales even higher.

Boneworks is out on Tuesday.
Left 4 Dead VR is real.
The game awards is in a few days, with new Half-Life Alyx news.
Get your minds ready, it’s about to blow.
While Sony might miss out on this game too, we can expect Left 4 Dead “3” (we’ll call it that for now) to arrive on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality.
Valve’s last Left 4 Dead title, Left 4 Dead 2, came out over 10 years ago on Xbox 360 and PC.
