Yang Bing, creator of Lost Soul Aside, has confirmed in an interview that he is targeting a release this year for the game. Previously, no release year was given so this is a step in the right direction.
He also wants to expand the IP beyond games, which could mean a movie, book, or even music. Given the beautiful nature of the game, film could produce an insane amount of gorgeous scenes.
China Hero Project is an initiative Sony Interactive Entertainment runs to help Chinese developers make, fund, and publish their games. Since Sony has stepped in, Lost Soul Aside’s team is now 14 large instead of just Yang Bing and is fully funded by Sony. China Hero Project houses 14 games, ranging from shooters to mystery to RPGs.
