Take-Two Interactive’s Rockstar Games is looking for a new trailer editor, the company confirms via a job listing.
On their hiring website, the gaming giant wants to find someone to convey a “emotional content”, which is very signaling of an announcement. The next likely candidate is Rockstar North, makers of the Grand Theft Auto series since it has been 7 years since the last entry, Grand Theft Auto V launched.
Storytelling is a very important aspect of our games, so the editor must be able to communicate the emotional content and excitement of a game within a 60 second format. This is an interactive procedure, part of the trailer making process is shooting scenes in a virtual 3D world using proprietary tools. You will need to be not only an editor but a director and cinematographer as well.
Rockstar Games’ latest was Red Dead Redemption II, released last year on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. Unless announced this year, whatever project that is upcoming will likely be a next generation exclusive.
