Square Enix has confirmed that a duo of new Kingdom Hearts teams has been formed, totalling to 4 teams total.
Out of the pair, a team will release a full game “surprisingly soon” even though Kingdom Hearts III launched just last January and Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind launches this week. That is quite impressive that Disney and Square are picking up the pace a little bit more now that Kingdom Hearts has entered the mainstream.
This essentially means that there is around 2-4 games in development in the series at all times (depending if a title is constantly updated like a GaaS project) and that just means we won’t have to wait multiple years for a new entry in the franchise anymore.
Hopefully we can see Sora and the gang on PS5 and Xbox Series X soon!
