Leading into the new year, Sony Interactive Entertainment America and Activision Blizzard strike a deal to have PlayStation be the official sponsor of Call of Duty League and Call of Duty Challengers.
Challengers is an amateur league compared to the main league, so it’s oftentimes not as exciting and the prizes aren’t as grand. However, it’s still a blast to watch. Both Call of Duty World League and Overwatch’s league will be streamed exclusively through YouTube Gaming from now on.
The biggest gaming franchise in modern history will continue to be affiliated with PlayStation, now more so then ever. Ahead of the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops IIIII in a few months and next generation in general, it’s a mysterious time to renew contracts.
